Prof. Renlong Zhou

Biography:

Professor Renlong Zhou holds a Ph.D. in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was a nationally funded visiting scholar at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. He is currently the director of the Physics (Teacher Education) program at the School of Physics and Information Engineering. Professor Zhou has received the Third Prize of the Provincial Natural Science Award, has been selected as a Young Backbone Teacher in General Higher Education Institutions, and is a third-level candidate of the Provincial New Century 121 Talent Project. He has led two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and over ten provincial and ministerial-level projects, and has participated as a key member in multiple NSFC and provincial projects. His work on “Design and Fabrication of Plasmonic Resonance and Broadband Absorption Enhanced Photovoltaic Devices” won the Third Prize of the Provincial Natural Science Award. He holds two national invention patents and has published more than 100 papers in domestic and international journals such as Advanced Photonics Nexus, Material Today Physics, Nanophotonic, Nanoscale, Optics Express, Physical Review E, Acta Physica Sinica, and Acta Optica Sinica.

Prof. Yew Kee WONG

Biography: 

Prof. Dr. Yew Kee WONG (Eric) is a Professor, Associate Vice President and Registrar at Hong Kong Chu Hai College. Previously, he served as a Professor at BASIS, Jiangxi Normal Universityin Jiangxi, and Huanghuai University in Henan. He obtained a BSc (Hons) in Computing Systems and a PhD in AI from Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK. He was the youngest undergraduate and PhD student admitted to NTU at the age of 15 and 19 respectively. He served as Senior Programme Director at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) between 2001 and 2016. He currently serves as a Research Project Supervisor at the Southern Institute of Technology in New Zealand for Masters and PhD students. His research interests include AI, quantum computing, big data analytics, and Web3 technology. In his career as a researcher,he has used a variety of programming languages, including Python, Rust, Java, JavaScript, C++, HTML, PHP, and SQL.
